Thought so.Comment by RyuzukhIlvl 899-901 Unholy DK here, depending on which legendaries i have equipped, and I've tried five times now. Comment by Alixie on T18:22:22-05:00īut also, this significantly diminishes the value of the unique Mage Tower skin, which was supposed to stay as an exclusive achievement like the rest of the MT appearances. i hope they do this with the other mage tower appearances. Anecdotally, I've seen far more requests for the MT bear form to be brought back than for the MT cat form. While the MT cat form is the best cat form imo, it's similar enough to the base cat form - same skeleton and animations - that the given justification doesn't really apply. So now, new players can get the werebear model, albeit not the same one. ![]() The justification given for adding another werebear was that it's a radical change to the bear form model (right down to skeleton and animations), but currently entirely unobtainable. I feel that this is for sure a step in the right direction from where we were a month ago. I hope that with decent player participation in this event will give Blizz the motivation to re-create or even re use old content for new rewards OR even recolors of iconic sets / items in the future. I am happy that they did not bring the actual weapon skins back but instead re-purposed the mage tower for something " Not new " but unique armor palates for iconic sets. ![]() So, I have the Hunter Mists CM gear, sadly missed 2 of the WoD golds for the weps, and about 9 mage tower skins. This means I'll have a really hard time ever getting it as the pressure can really make things harder on me. I'm not good at grinding stuff out, I like to take it slow. I really hate it'll be locked to a six month rotation for time walking though. I really like the return of the mage tower. ![]() Comment by 2088298 on T17:27:21-05:00Īll the drama of "no return" was in vain and the worst thing is that they will give an appearance even better than the original Comment by Grasst on T17:32:34-05:00 It should be either all of them are earnable or none, cherry picking one and making it look better than the others and different for brownie points doesn't sit right with me im sorry. They got it for the model itself, so really locking the other ones out for other classes in my opinion makes no sense if they release this to everyone. Lets be real, nobody got the bear form in legion because they wanted something brown or black or white. I think this form is really awesome as its unique however, i find it strangely irritating how they say they wont release the other artifacts and despite them saying the other variants are still locked. same sentiment as the T20 recolors from the MT, maybe if they allowed you to get your artifact appearances it'd be good but as is I don't see a point, most people will only do it for the mount because those set colors are atrocious. So do we know if we get both the new form and armor set from the guardian challenge or just the form? Comment by Fooysari on T17:23:52-05:00Īs is tradition with blizzard when they want players to come back, just slap a new coat of paint on old models and wait. I love this form but what about Ferals and Boomkins? :Sīoomkin didn't have an alt model from MT, so no new birb.

An acoustic strummer in her Big Yellow Taxi mode, the song conveys the full obsession of her feelings for the rising male start of mellow Seventies sensitivity.Īll of Mitchell's social and romantic angst can be heard in this song of longing and escape or avoidance. Spooked by "that look so critical" in his eyes, she plunged into "blackness, blackness dragging me down" as she stares through the plane's porthole window at night-time America below. (She says she'll even kiss a cop on Sunset Boulevard.) California remains a beckoning, beguiling paradise for this restless Canadian.īlusteringly covered by the Scottish rockers Nazareth, who had an unlikely hit with it, Flight supposedly tells the tale of Mitchell's abrupt and impulsive return to LA as she was about to be introduced to Taylor's east coast family. She's strumming her dulcimer again, backed by Taylor and the Flying Burritos' pedal-steel player Sneaky Pete Kleinow, dreaming anew of Laurel Canyon. She's checking the latest news on America's fruitless war in Vietnam and letting go of the Sixties dream of peace. It also brings us squarely back to America and the post-hippy unease of the new decade, as well as to her doomed and consuming affair with the heroin-addicted Taylor: "Acid, booze and ass/Needles, guns and grass." Rufus Wainwright, who sang it for Mitchell at her 75th birthday party, said it was "nice to sing something from the perspective of the person living with the addict."Īnother of Blue's postcards from Old Europe, California gives use Mitchell in Paris, en route home via Formentera (from which she sent Nash a telegram telling him their relationship was over). It's Mitchell alone over troubled piano chords that combine the styles of Laura Nyro (one of Mitchell's few acknowledged peers) and Jimmy Webb (one of her new LA friends). The albums exquisite title song - as coolly melancholic as Miles Davis's Kind of Blue - follows Carey in the way that My Old Man follows All I Want. Raditz later became an investment analyst. It's the first three tracks of Blue that are lightly infused by rock'n'roll, even if you can barely make out the drummer Russ Kinkel. Unable to any longer resist the lure of "clean white linen" and "fancy French cologne, she bids a whimsical farewell to lover Cary Raditz, a "bright red devil" with a walking cane, and to her months of slumming it as a hippy in a Cretan cave. This track, one of Blue's signature songs, returns us to the dulcimer strumming All I Want and is Mitchell's most vivid report from the peripatetic "time-out" year of 1970. ![]() Wishing her daughter a "happy ending", Mitchell couldn't have known she'd be reunited with Kilauren in 1997. The picked guitar phrase recalls The Circle Game but is clearly more personal - even if you don't know what it's about. Its inclusion here suggests she could no longer disown the guilt and grief she had carried after making the hard choice between motherhood and freedom in mid-1960s Canada. The only song on Blue that would have fitted on her early, folkier albums, Little Green was written in 1967, two years after Mitchell (a "child with a child pretending") had given up a baby daughter for adoption. The domestic details (the bed, the frying pan) are a huge part of what make Blue so piercingly real, while her voice leaps from a conversational alto to an aching falsetto soprano that, in its way, is Mitchell's attempt to escape those Blues. ![]() ![]() Written towards the end of Mitchell's canyon cohabitation with Graham Nash, My Old Man is sweetly tender and seemingly carefree, at least until the first not of worry ("play and stay, baby") and the dip into the "lonesome blues" that sit at the core of her being. The son's opening piano phrases, at once relaxed and hinting at sadness, offer instant contrast to All I Want. It's almost unbearable honest about the push-and-pull of romance - rehearsing what she really wants to tell her new beau, James Taylor, trying to grow up in ways few of use ever manage. Then come the first words, "I am on a lonely road and I am travelling.", followed swiftly by "I hate you some, I hate you some, I love you." She's 27 and grappling with the agonies of intimacy and jealousy that tripped up so many of her contemporaries at that age. For the rapturous words bestowed on Blue, it's rarely remarked that it starts with two bars of uncomfortable dissonance: Mitchell's strummed dulcimer chords grating against an underlying drone. ![]() Main article: The Pips (band) Knight in 1974 Other songs they released on Maxx include "(There Will Never Be) Another Love", "Either Way I Lose", "Go Away, Stay Away", "Maybe Maybe Baby", "Stop and Get a Hold of Myself", "Who Knows" and "If I Should Ever Fall in Love". Upon learning that "Every Beat of My Heart" was already becoming a hit but had cut the group out of profits, Robinson had The Pips re-record the song and release it on Fury Records. Here is a list of S ervices you can expect from Radford Piano Services, inc. Of course, if you just bought a piano from a store, the technician who first serviced your piano after delivery hopes to keep your business for many years to come so if you are happy with him / her, you need look no further. The other way is to seek out a registered member of the Piano Technician's Guild (explained in more detail below). The best way to find a qualified technician is by referral from a piano store, pianist, teacher or friend. Anyone can say they're a tuner, and hang out a shingle. There is no licensing for piano technicians. Many people do not realize the level of skill involved in doing a fine piano tuning, which is why many consider piano tuners "unseen artists". It can take three years or more to become adept at piano tuning and maintenance, and several years beyond that to build up enough clientele for a business. Whereas a few tuners are hobbyists, most are professionals and support themselves and their families solely as piano technicians. The difference is that the technician not only tunes, but also understands the maintenance, repair, regulation and voicing of pianos and is able to carry out these services, as well as tuning. It is usually best to use a piano technician, as opposed to a piano tuner. In any case, the technician would rather talk to you and/or make another appointment to rectify the problem, than lose you as a customer. A "wobbly note" to the pianist may be "insufficient aftertouch" or an "out of tune unison" to the technician. Usually complaints revolve around failed communication between technician and customer, as they sometimes have different ways of saying the same thing. He will probably want to know about it, rather than wonder why he never heard from you again. If there is a complaint or question about the work that was done on a piano, the best thing to do is go to the source call the technician and consult him. If even that is not possible, it should be expected that there will be a minimum service call fee, even if there was a good reason to cancel. If a cancellation or postponement of an appointment is unavoidable, it is a good idea to give at least twenty-four hours notice. Missed appointments can be very exasperating for technicians, because they schedule their appointments very tightly together and often drive large distances only to find no one home. He/she will then know exactly which key to look at during the next service call. Also, note the problem with each key, and put the paper in the piano bench until the technician arrives. The best thing to do when there is a problem key, is to write down the number of the particular key(s) in question on a piece of paper. It's a law of nature just like the squeaky brakes that don't squeak once you finally get the car into the shop for service. Identifying problem notes can be a problem, because that sticky key that had been sticking for months isn't sticking when the technician arrives (of course!). Each time the technician returns, he will be able to achieve a more detailed, higher quality, more stable tuning, because the piano will not have fluctuated as much. Not only does this save time, but technicians are always fearful that they may break some knickknack of importance if they have to move them.Ĭonsistent humidity about 35 to 45%, as discussed earlier, will make the piano more stable and it will not go as far out of tune between tunings. ![]() The top must be cleared so the tuner can open the lid and get into the piano to tune. When a tuner tunes, he listens to very high frequencies, most untrained ears are not even aware of, called overtones. Noise is by far the worst enemy of piano tuners.
